PYEWACKET- CLOSED

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival, dark fantasy

THE SITUATION:

A remote village is under siege by demonic, cannibalistic creatures. Following the brutal witch trials of Pyewacket, the village; and its surrounding hunting grounds, fell victim to horrifying and unexplainable events.Residents are desperate to bring an end to their demonic plague.

♰ The village knows it’s cursed, and they know why.♰ Merchants and outsiders often go missing or found torn apart. This is a “come at your own risk” place.♰ The strange events only occur within a specific range that swallows Pyewacket and its hunting grounds.♰ (Debating): Demons spread like a virus, if you are killed by one; you become one (like “Sinners” Vampires) or, they just gut you buffet style.♰ Demons will come into the village at night, strict rules and punishments have been made to keep everyone safe. Every building/structure must have a totem. With the totem, demons cannot come inside unless they are invited. EX: someone opens a door or window. So board them up and make sure they are locked and closed.♰ Skinwalker aspect: (debating) They are able to mimic people, tempting to sound like loved ones in distress to lure victims outside.♰ Any Magic used will not be OP, and very difficult to actually use. Magic= high costs and high limitations.♰ This can be high fantasy, different races are welcomed. Expect strange animals and world building

THE STRANGE EVENTS PRIOR:

♰ The Lake Pyewacket Mist:
The first strange event that took place after the witch trial burnings. Pyewacket, and surrounding areas became covered in a light mist. The origin of the mist was Pyewacket Lake, which was a safe and reliable water source.
Anyone/ anything within this mist succumbed to a violent end. The survivors had remained out of its reach prior (such as elevated land, like a hill). Plants, animals, and humans fell victim. The village lost most of its people, and all of their livestock.♰ The Strange Dogs:
(Still brainstorming)

MORE DETAILS:

(“It was said” that a witch had been the cause of children going missing. Long story short, she was eating the kids.) The only witness “mysteriously died” before he could reveal the name of the witch. Now the village knew it was a witch, but since the witness died before he could say the name, witch trials. Many women and men were killed. People pointed at each other, and of course, the “Just in case” mindset took over and they just started killing everybody. Mainly women. Anyone who was seen as odd, you know how the Salem-witch trials went. A mass hysteria developed where unfortunately, religion took over and turned the whole place very cultish for a while. They eventually killed the witch, but since they killed so many people, they don’t know who it actually was. Plus, she cursed the land.Everyone is past the “culty witch trial mindset”, in Muse A and B’s timeline, centuries have past. However, with the demons, the village does have strict rules, if you break them, you will be executed.

“WHY DON’T THEY JUST LEAVE?”:

♰ (Maybe) The curse binds their bloodlines to the soil. Meaning, anyone born on the cursed land is tied to it. They cannot leave or they will die, this will allow outsiders to enter and leave freely, but not the residents/ descendants of those who survived the trials. Which unfortunately, may also mean everyone’s descendants were either very lucky, or vile humans that killed people knowing they weren’t doing witchcraft.Open to other suggestions

Run, Demon

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival, dark fantasy, paranormal

shamans:

Entrusted as the gatekeepers between the worlds of the living and the dead, shamans must dedicate their lives to protecting the living. They come face to face with horrifying entities at the risk of their own souls. They enter the spirit world to lead and set free lost souls, and to help the vengeful find peace before those spirits kill another human. As long as the entity was once human, there can always be a resolution without destroying the spirit.Demons, however, were never human. You have no choice but to condemn the evil. Though, cases of demons are rare and often confused with vengeful spirits. In the case of a demon, the land must be evacuated. It is wise for the shaman to accept death.

PLOT DETAILS

A shaman (Muse A) is summoned by a temple (or palace) to deal with what they believe to be a vengeful spirit. As with previous jobs, vengeful spirits usually mean the land has suffered tragedies. Someone who was wrongfully killed returns as an angry spirit. After hearing the details, Muse A gets to work, searching for evidence of who the spirit was in life.Version 1
Muse A either disappears or suffers an attack that leaves them critically injured. The temple (or palace) then hires Muse B, another shaman. It isn’t until the two meet that Muse B learns the “spirit” was never a spirit at all, but a demon.
Version 2
Muse A finds Muse B and begins questioning them about the spirit. Muse B was the only one willing to talk, after all. However, they still seem hesitant. Muse B warns Muse A that they’re being watched. Muse A was being lied too, but the question was by who? Muse B, or the temple?
If the temple was telling the truth, and it was a vengeful spirit, why was Muse B initially spreading paranoia and misleading the shaman?

The main idea is still vague, suggestions are welcome.

Multiple Plots

THEY’RE LYING TO US:

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival

Muse A (F) lives in an isolated community. To instill fear, the leaders have told the residents that demons have taken over the outside world. However, they are one of the few groups that managed to secure holy ground. If anyone leaves, they will be torn apart.(I considered adding actual monsters, but I’ll keep it optional. Having real monsters would make it much easier for the leaders to maintain control and keep everyone under their thumbs. Again, optional.)Muse A was born in the community, so she only knows what she’s been told. When Muse B (M) enters the story, there will be a few options: he could be a runaway, or he could have intentionally sought out the community, etc.Whether Muse B knows it’s a cult or not will determine how and why he found them.
• If he didn’t know, he realizes early in the story. Upon meeting Muse A, he begins to understand how much damage has been done to her. But Muse B has a problem: Muse A has developed a strong liking for him. She’s willing to do just about anything to get him to notice her.
• If he does know, he will need to be a good actor and find a way to use Muse A to get the information he needs. Even if that means faking interest in her. Or maybe the interest ends up being genuine.

WATCHTOWER:

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival

After months of being cooped up in a watchtower, Muse A finally gets a coworker. Maybe now, visiting town and dining in a restaurant will no longer be a lingering fantasy. Being isolated for an extended period of time is hard for anyone, so it’s nice to finally have someone to talk to.Muse B was only supposed to be part-time, but shortly after their first day, it becomes clear that the tower is the only reason they’re still alive. What would it feel like to watch the world end from a watchtower?Possible routes this plot can take:
• Cryptids
• Zombies
• “The Mist”-style horror
• Invasion of some sort
• Fatal virus/disease

THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY NEIGHBORS:

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival

After a small town experiences a horrific tragedy, many residents are left homeless. Those who were able to evacuate return in hopes of finding their lost loved ones. Hope is bleak during this period, and many families grieve many losses. Some will abandon the town, but those who stay work to put the community back together.Something, however, begins to trouble a few of the community members. Missing people start turning up… alive, but acting in a strange manner. Perhaps it’s trauma. But would trauma cause someone to stand outside and watch you from your window? And why were some of the deceased so badly mutilated? A flood couldn’t possibly gut someone… could it?

DARKWOOD:

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival, paranormal

A police officer (M) is forced to retire after experiencing a traumatic encounter with a serial killer, which resulted in serious injuries and growing paranoia. M’s brother hires a private nurse (F) to stay with M in his cabin during recovery. He feared for M’s mental health after hearing bizarre ramblings of events M believed to have happened.M was put on medication for hallucinations and panic attacks. However, his paranoia only grew.F thought M’s experiences were hallucinations at first, until she began seeing things herself.

OF MONSTERS AND MEN:

|GENRES| horror, thriller, survival, dark fantasy

Imagine a world where giants have terrorized and preyed upon humankind. For centuries, humans have endured the brutality of giants, forcing them to grow creative in order to hide their villages from these man-eaters. Runners, in particular, have become essential for survival. Without them, humans would starve.Runners face death every time they leave the safety of their hidden homes to hunt and gather what the village needs. Sometimes runners don’t come back. Sometimes giants follow them back to their village.

Chalk Outline

|GENRES| Sci-fi, thriller

Modern-day gladiators, and a once-thriving city as an arena.Gladiators, or tributes, are drawn from prisoners and volunteers. They are then randomly grouped into teams. Your team is your lifeline. You live together, or you die alone. The objective is simple: eliminate the other teams.Only one team walks away. The winners claim money, freedom, or a clean slate. But even in the arena, rules exist. Every gladiator is fitted with a tracker. Step out of line, or break a rule, and the gamekeepers will remove you. No warnings, and no second chances. There are two types of days you need to be aware of:

GAME DAYS

Sanctioned Combat Only
You can only kill during a game. Outside of scheduled games, all combat is forbidden. Your tracker monitors your vitals and actions. Raise a weapon against another gladiator outside of a game, and you’ll be eliminated before you can pull the trigger. The gamekeepers don’t give warnings. Threats and intimidation are allowed outside the neutral zone.
Game Objectives
Each game has an objective for every team: capture a target, hold a zone, tag, or survive. When the timer hits zero, the team with the most members alive wins. If your team loses but you manage to survive, you won’t be killed. Depending on how many are left in the rotation, you’ll either be moved to a new team or continue with only your remaining members for the rest of the games. No guarantees.
Safe Intervals
Time spent between games is important. Use this time to rest, strategize, heal, and gather supplies from designated distribution points located in the neutral zone. Teams may cross paths during these intervals; tensions run high and words may be exchanged. But remember: your tracker is always active, and you’re surrounded by cameras. Threats or intimidation within the neutral zone result in points being taken away from your team.
Victory Bonuses
If all members of your team survive a game, you earn bonus points. Every life matters. Sponsors notice teams that show unity. The more valuable you appear, the more help you receive.

KILL DAYS

Free Hunting
On these days, you’re free to kill anyone who isn’t on your team. You can use the environment, weapons, your hands—anything you can find. However, you cannot kill before or after the timer.
No Safe Zones
During Kill Days, bases offer no protection. The neutral zone is shut down, making nowhere safe.
Scavenger’s Rights
Any supplies, weapons, or equipment found in the city during Kill Days belong to whoever claims them first. This includes dead gladiators’ gear. The city is full of caches: some placed by sponsors, others traps. Choose wisely.
Any disobedience, any act that brings the sponsors’ displeasure, leads to one outcome:

ELIMINATION.

PLOT DETAILS

This plot was created after I binge-watched The Hunger Games and Alice in Borderland. There are a few things about this plot that should be mentioned:• The city isn’t empty. There are beasts inside the arena engineered to kill humans. Some of these beasts are living; others are robotic.• Whenever your team wins, you receive points. You need these points! they buy you food, ammo, water, and medical supplies. If your wounds are too great for the med kits, that’s when sponsors come in. All points must be redeemed in the neutral zone. The neutral zone acts as a dystopian mall where your team can buy equipment, hire a doctor, or fix weapons. Rules in the neutral zone are strictly enforced.• Sponsors pick and choose who they want to support. This means that if you want sponsors, you have to be aware that you are being watched at all times. This is entertainment for many people. With that in mind, make yourself likable. It can save your life.• Gladiators are not allowed to mess with the cameras. They are placed all over the city and game sites.• When the numbers get small enough, teams will no longer get replenished with new teammates during rotations. If you only have three members left and there aren’t enough people for another rotation, you will only have three members. This gives teams with higher numbers an advantage over you. Let’s hope you’re smart enough.• Each team gets a base. You have to pick the base yourselves. If it’s too close to another base, your trackers will shock you until you relocate. At the end of the day, depending on how you play your cards, you can either leave the arena with the team you started with, or leave as the last member standing.

KING OF FLIES- CLOSED

|GENRES| Sci-fi, thriller, survival

Bus transportation has become a reliable form of travel in the modern world. Tickets often come cheap at the sacrifice of privacy and comfort. If one finds themselves with a will strong enough to deal with their fellow passengers, transport can be made simple and easy.Of course, the will in question would depend on the duration of their travel. Along the way, one should expect to meet a variety of people- all of which come from all walks of life.Bus stations will allow rest before the next boarding. Phones, vending machines, and customer services will be offered. Safe to say, the stations are quite busy. Even in rural countries, expect a long line to the bathroom.Muse A (M Role) and Muse B (F Role) will arrive at Ridgeback Bus Station in early December. Although the two had different destinations, they would be stepping off the same bus. On the way to the station, snow had already begun to fall. It was a miracle how the driver was able to see the road. But, that didn’t matter now. The station was safe and warm, with an hour to spare until their next bus arrived- thanks to the weather delaying incoming traffic.Other passengers waiting to board began talking. The weather was getting bad. Snow was starting to fall faster, and winds were picking up. It looked like a snow storm was approaching. Not good for anyone running on a tight schedule.
If only they knew, most won’t be leaving the station alive.
The intercom announced emergency weather broadcasts, the station had found itself in the middle of a severe and unpredicted blizzard. The buses would soon be trapped in a wall of snow, power would be lost, and there wasn’t enough food to feed everyone for more than a week.Muse A and Muse B will find themselves in the middle of a growing Tribalism society. Individuals that arrived on the same bus grouped together, forming their own “packs” and appointing a leader to speak for the group. Each group took territory within the facility. Guarding what resources their territory possessed. The system worked until food ran out. What happens when 70 people can’t eat?

PLOT DETAILS

♰ Yes, it’s a “Lord of the Flies” scenario.♰ Tribalism meaning: Tribalism is the intense loyalty to a social group— a "tribe"— often creating an "us vs. them" mentality that prioritizes in-group interests over outsiders. (AKA the buses splitting into groups. Whoever you arrived with, you grouped with)♰ Leaving will not be a realistic option, for the sake of the story, NPCS will risk it- they will never return. Buses will no longer be usable.♰ The “Blizzard” won’t act like a natural blizzard. There’s going to be a paranormal aspect to it. Almost like our characters were in purgatory, no matter how far they managed to go- purgatory is designed to keep them from leaving. The weather here will not act according to natural weather.♰ Our characters will be complete strangers to one another. As for your oc, their reason for traveling is entirely up to you. They could be running from a bad past, wanting a fresh start, etc.♰ Despite the high tension aspect of this plot, romance and ERP are available for this plot. Trauma bonding, adrenaline, and primal instincts is a good recipe for it.♰ No one knows how long the blizzard will last. There will be a point where passengers realize they won’t make it until rescue.♰ Ridgeback Bus Station is located in the middle of rural country. Characters should be aware how long emergency services would take to make it to the station on a day with good weather.♰ The M role (Muse A) will be the appointed “Leader” for their group. If you’re interested in being Muse A, please provide a character with leadership qualities. He needs to be strong-willed but not reckless. There’s a delicate balance when it comes to violent tribalism!

PARASITE:

|GENRES| Sci-fi, thriller, survival

For anyone just tuning in: emergency evacuation protocols have been lifted. Anyone not cleared to leave quarantine will be left behind. It is not yet clear what has caused the affliction; the Ministry of Defense reassures the public that the quarantine walls surrounding the southern coastlines are strong enough to withstand escape attempts by the infected. For residents living near the quarantine zone, we strongly urge you to move inland. Refugee camps can be found in the following cities: Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo, Kawasaki, Saitama, Sendai, and Sapporo. Bring only one bag of necessities. Further accommodations will be provided. If you witness any persons exhibiting the following symptoms, report them to the authorities immediately:Behavioral Changes:
♰ Signs of psychosis- audio and visual hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized speech.
♰ Aggression, anxiety, paranoia, suicidal and homicidal tendencies, and drastic changes in appetite.♰ Complete change in personality.Physical Changes:
♰ Bloodshot eyes; pupils that do not react to light. In few cases, injuries heal at an abnormal rate.
♰ Changes in the teeth, tongue, or limbs.DO NOT, under any circumstance, approach anyone you suspect to be infected. The method of transmission has not been determined. Approaching an infected person may result in death. Brutal attacks- many involving cannibalism- have been reported.

PLOT DETAILS

It’s invasion.Symptoms of the parasites were mistaken for a virus, every town and city with reported cases were locked down. For a month, the government told the public that it was in fact, a virus. Completely disregarding the rising concern when they reinforced the walls. They were made taller, stronger, and built at an alarming rate. With plans to decimate the entire quarantine zone, the infected are desperate to escape.

ABOUT THE PARASITES:

♰ Not native to earth♰ A highly intelligent species, with emotions similar to humans. Like humans, they have names, distinct personalities, and traits. Often offers "gifts" to the hosts with whom they form forced symbiotic relationships. Based on each parasite's individual experiences, these gifts vary, granting every host a completely unique set of abilities.♰ Over time, as their bond deepens with a host, they will begin to influence the host’s thoughts and behaviors. Eventually, their consciousnesses will merge, until one day they become a single being.♰ Parasite attacks the host to enter their body. Once inside, they will begin the process of fusing. The longer they stay in the body, the bigger they get. Within months of infection, removing the parasite will kill the host. Their size does have a cap♰ Their end goal is survival. Alone, they are not able to survive. They rely entirely on a suitable host, which makes the choosing process a great deal. If the host survives, so do they, so they are willing to make any necessary sacrifices.

If you have seen the following: The Sadness, Sweet Home, Parasyte. This plot follows the same vibeInfected will get extremely violent and cannibalistic. However, if an infected knows you prior to infection, the parasite isn’t able to manipulate them. It’s important to note that the Infection will not be the same for everyone.

S.O.L.A

Synthetic. Organism. Longevity. Advancement.

A pharmaceutical company that prides itself on creating synthetic drugs to combat humanity’s worst diseases. Operating since 1912, it has since become a household name in the medical industry. Because of SOLA, various vaccinations have saved the lives of thousands.

What the public isn’t aware of is how well SOLA is equipped. It has the best researchers, technology, and resources available. One of which, is named “Tissue Regeneration Unit” (TRU). On paper, the machine is standard equipment for its cancer unit, but the machine is nothing like its name suggests.

TRU is a human cloning device. It can copy human DNA within hours, not only is it successful, it has been in constant use for decades. When a subject dies, SOLA places their remains in the machine. As long as the machine holds a complete database of the subject, it can create an “organic human” with identical DNA. All the researchers have to do is reupload the subject’s memories, and it’s like the person never died.

SOLA has used clones to test vaccines and bioweapons. Inject Subject A with a cancer vaccine prototype, and watch what happens. Expose Subject B to a synthetic disease created for war, and see what happens. Log their deaths. Feed the remains to the cloning machine. Wait until morning to reupload their memories, then ask further questions and use the answers to make formula changes. Rinse and repeat.

Things take a drastic turn when Subject 4 is permanently put down.

PLOT DETAILS

FRUIT FOR THOUGHT:

- To keep the clones compliant, SOLA tells them their sacrifices are being used to find a vaccine that will let them live above ground. It gives them false hope, a reason to think “I’m doing this for the greater good,” and it kills any curiosity about what might be outside the lab. If they believe the surface is dangerous, what reason would they have to leave?

- Allowing the clones to maintain a small community boosts morale!

Collaboration possibilities are endless with this plot, we can take it anywhere from accidental vampire, resident evil abomination, to them simply figuring out they’re being lied too. It would be fun to explore the idea that an experiment permanently changed their dna sequence.
